If you have ever had a breakup, these tales are for you. If you know of someone who is in a bad relationship, these tales are for them. If you just have a few minutes of free time and need a five minute pick-me-up, one of these stories will get you smiling on your way, whether your current relationship is good, bad or on a midnight train to Kentucky!
The tales lead us through our relationships and often out the other end, where we emerge alone. They don’t just leave us by the roadside, crying into the dust and trying to hitch a ride to Lonelytown or ExPartnerville. They pick us up and give us a little shake, then help us smile at our own situations, by showing us that other people who are in the same circumstances make more mistakes than we do! It’s great when others are worse off than we are—especially fictional characters! Luckily, following each tale is a comment that tries to make their lives right again by offering a shot of tough-love healing.

The Breakup Cocktail book contains about 60 tales. The tales carry a great deal of humor even though the subject matter is all serious stuff that we wouldn’t usually find funny. Each tale has its own unique set of characters who are suddenly thrust into unexpected situations they can’t readily deal with. It’s happened to us all, but we don’t always embarrass ourselves the way these characters seem to do.
